Choose between external types for customer collaboration or internal types for OEM-only workflows. Written by George Newman October 26, 2025 ### **Custom Work Order Types & Portal Visibility Controls** We’re excited to introduce a powerful update that brings more flexibility to how you manage work orders—and how they're shared with your customers. ### **Create Custom Work Order Types** You can now **create your own work order types** and tailor them to specific workflows within your organisation. For each type, you can configure: - Associated **parts** - **Custom fields** relevant to that workflow Associated **parts** **Custom fields** relevant to that workflow This allows you to build more dynamic and personalised processes. ### **Control Visibility on the Customer Portal** Each work order type can now be categorised as either: ### **External** - Visible to OEM customers in the **Customer Portal** - Allows customers to **create work orders** using that type - Ideal for **collaborative workflows** with customers Visible to OEM customers in the **Customer Portal** Allows customers to **create work orders** using that type Ideal for **collaborative workflows** with customers ### **Internal** -
