Written by George Newman October 26, 2025 ### **AI Assistants** We’re introducing **AI Assistants**—a new way for Makula users to build intelligent, asset-specific assistants that deliver instant support across both internal teams and customer portals. ### **What’s Included in This Release:** ### **Asset-Based Assistants** Assistants can only be created for **Assets** and **Asset Templates**, ensuring they remain contextually relevant to the machines or products they support. ### **Internal vs. External Assistants** During setup, users choose whether to create an **Internal** or **External** assistant: - **External Assistants** can only index **external documentation** - **Internal Assistants** can index both **internal and external documentation** - Each assistant must include a **description** to clarify its use **External Assistants** can only index **external documentation** **Internal Assistants** can index both **internal and external documentation** Each assistant must include a **description** to clarify its use ### **Step-by-Step Creation Flow** The assistant builder walks users through: -
